Huawei users migrate to Harmony OS with ease; Information and applications will not be deleted
Harmony is the name of the newest operating system of smart devices and perhaps the most complete of them; The operating system that Huawei introduced a stable version a few days ago. Many users are now looking for the answer to the question of whether the previous information and applications will still be usable on the device after updating to Harmony.
Harmony is a state-of-the-art operating system that can be optimized to fit the user’s device and cover a wide range of smart devices.
Huawei is currently offering this operating system for some smartphones and tablets on the market, and several new devices such as the Mate Pad 2021 series tablets, Vision series smart TVs and Watch 3 series smartwatches are offered by default with 2.0 harmony. have became.
But as mentioned, the question for many users who are currently using products with the EMUI interface and the Android operating system is what happens to their information and files after updating to Harmony, and whether they can use the software on the phone. Continue to use themselves?
Huawei has answered these questions many times to date and has stated that after updating to Harmony, there will be no problem backing up previous software, using Android software or deleting user information.
The important point is that when updating to Harmony, all the user information stored in the device remains and only the system files are changed and updated to Harmony-specific files.
Also, with the use of Harmony, in addition to the ability to use the proprietary software of the Harmony operating system, it is also possible to fully use the Android software. Phones that already have Google Mobile Services (GMS) and related software are not a problem and can still use Google applications.
In this regard, a large group of Chinese developers have studied this issue on updated phones in harmony. The group released a text message from Eric Zhou, Huawei’s rotating director, announcing:
“To protect the interests of users in the use of various software and services, Huawei has created a situation where they can use all Android software based on EMUI along with Harmony software in Harmony 2.0 operating system.”
In addition, Eric Zhou pointed out that Huawei has created a very favorable environment for developers to be able to build their software for HarmonyOS in the fastest and most convenient way.
It is interesting to know that Huawei has shown in this regard that with the release of the Open Harmony 2.0 package, all the codes of the HarmonyOS operating system have been written exclusively and are different from the source code of Android. In fact, by updating this operating system, all the code related to AOSP (or Android open source project) will be replaced with the code of the software section of Harmony Ecosystem.
Of course, to show its goodness in this field, Huawei has already published the complete source code of Harmony operating system in the Open Source Foundation in two stages in 2020 and 2021, and users can use them and develop their own ROM.
Finally, users who want to upgrade to a harmonious operating system should not have to worry about deleting their information or applications; Because Huawei has provided a platform for these users to migrate to the Harmony operating system with the least hassle and with ease.
