Apple stopped production of the iPhone 12 mini due to poor sales

As you probably know, the introduction of the iPhone 12 series started a big cycle in replacing the old iPhone handsets with these new phones by customers. Although this cycle is expected to continue until 2022, apparently among these phones, the iPhone 12 Mini model did not perform well in terms of sales, and a new report claims that Apple has stopped production.

TrendForce said in a report released yesterday that Apple plans to launch the iPhone 13 series in the second half of 2021, and the company also stopped production of the iPhone 12 mini in the first quarter of this year due to poor sales.

This means that production of the iPhone 12 mini will be stopped forever. Of course, Apple will continue to sell devices from this phone that are still available in the market, so customers can still buy the iPhone 12 mini from Apple’s website. This may take until the introduction of the iPhone 13 series in September.

In confirmation of today’s report, we must say that a report in February this year also claimed that Apple intends to stop production of one of its iPhones in the first quarter of 2021. Of course, production of the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max, as well as the iPhone XR, is expected to stop in the coming months. If that happens then we will probably only see the iPhone SE 2020, iPhone 11, iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 series on the market this holiday season.

Of course, despite the poor sales of the iPhone 12 mini, Apple has plans to introduce the next model of this phone, the iPhone 13 mini. Apple has learned a lot from the sales of its handsets in recent years, and this year will likely introduce larger models for the iPhone 13 series. The same is likely to be true of the iPhone 13 Mini. It is also rumored that Apple will replace the 5.4-inch iPhone in 2022 with an economical version of its 6.7-inch flagship iPhone (possibly the iPhone 14 Max).
